Ludington: A day in the life of a local.

25 May

If anyone from Ludington is reading this….I apologize if this title offends you seeing as the day I had may not have even been that of a local but we hung out with locals the whole day so it couldn’t have been too much of a stretch! And it was a great time that all started with disc golf!

Aunt Erin throwing!

For me, disc golfing quickly turned into a beautiful walk in the woods and nothing more. I’m not coordinated enough to play frisbee let alone this sport.

But clearly I was fine…

The whole crew, minus me the photographer of course, after we completed 9 holes!

Yesterday was very warm for Michigan and after our game we were all very hungry and ready for lunch! My step brother Jason, the shirtless one in the above photo, wanted to take us to a local staple, Bortell’s!

We got a nice high up view of Lake Michigan on our way there!

The outside was very charming and from what I hear it gets crowded if you’re not there on a late Thursday afternoon like we were!

And most importantly the food was great! You walked up to the fish market counter and choose your fish, I had Icelandic, and they plopped it right into the fryer.

After lunch we headed back into town to get ready for Tess’s Open House, it was a great time! Resulting in lots of random photos! After our Hula Hoop class I decided to get Tess a hoop for graduation and I think she really liked it! Plus is provided lots of entertainment for the party! And did I mention she had a bouncy house!

Bouncy house and hula hoop! Sound like a party to me:)

Tess and her best friend Taylor!

Tess and I in matching colored pants!

Her “face cake” as she called it

The boys…and a few crazy shirts.

Aunt Erin showing off her amazing hooping skills!

They have some beautiful flowers in bloom in Ludington right now!

Aunt Erin and I took a walk to the beach during the party…

I caught a glimpse of the water tower on the walk back…

Sadie the dog was a little tired out once twilight came around…

The future Marines in the party crowd set up quite a nice little fire that kept the party going into the night…

Yesterday was a great day but it was long! Which meant I slept in until about 11…I know I’m lazy! But today is THE  day! Graduation! We’re having a late lunch beforehand so I better go make myself presentable! I don’t want to embarrass Tess by showing up in my pj’s!

Hope you have a great day everyone!
