From cupcakes to castles…

14 Sep

It has officially been ten days, if I’m not mistaken that is some kind of record? Impressive. It appears I have intensely underestimated this semester. Oh well life goes on…

News Flash: Rob can now make egg sandwiches, he text me this last week and was so proud! Also as long as I keep my apartment stocked with hummus and pita chips I don't get those "what are we eating later" texts messages when I am at work:)

Oh! Good morning Mr. Rainbow.

Interesting dinner to say the least....does anyone know what that sweet potato impostor is? It tasted okay but I really just wanted a sweet potato!

I've developed a gelati habit.

Lunch with Rochelle and Jackson at Olive Garden last Friday. Jackson's looks is saying, "Uncle Rob I'm not sure this is quite right?"

What happens when you give me liquid chocolate....

Surprise! My mom did an amazing job throwing my step dad a surprise 50th birthday party...he had no idea! Believe it or not this is the least blurry picture I got...

The awesome spread at the party thanks to my mom and lots of others for pitching in...I ate way too much of these delicious goodies!

I was the offcial cupcake maker...these were pineapple cupcakes with coconut cream cheese frosting and pretty good if I do say so myself:)

Last Sunday Rob and I went on a secret mission. Mission: Universal Orlando secret shoppers.

Through school Rob got extra credit and we got into the parks for free by participting in their secret shopper program. Rob entering our answering into the handy dandy secret agent PDA...

After our mission was complete I finally got to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!!

Frozen Butterbeer=Amazing! Can you tell how excited I am?

Rob was marginally excited.

My sister spent the whole weekend at Universal for Rock the Universe, a christian rock band event at Universal, so we even got to meet up with her:)

I talked Rob into eating at The Three Broomsticks although he was skeptical I explained that I had to experience anything and everything Harry Potter related.

They did an awesome job on the themeing....they don't even offer soda!

The food was very good considering we were in a theme park. The fish was better than Disney's but the chips needed some work! Also don't order normal butterbeer go for the frozen!

After lunch we popped into Honeydukes, the candy shop, and got a cauldron cake to share:)

We even went into Olivander's to check out the wands...I didn't get one becasue Rob said he wants to make me my very own. Yes I am that much of a loser that this excites me.

Hagrid's Hut.

I made some friends...

And later that night when we go home we enjoyed our melted together, albiet tasty peppermint toads my sister got me in Honeydukes, she is so sweet!

My little trip into the Wizarding World made me even more excited for the Studio tour in London, now if only October 13th would get here so I can see when it opens and plan my trip!

Besides dreaming of vacations I’ve just been busy with school, internship work, and living for the weekends! Since I’ve been a blogging slacker though I’ve made a promise to myself that I will set aside one hour per day to enter the blogosphere! So fingers crossed I’ll be posting at least a little blurb everyday:)

Here's to wishful thinking:)

Questions for You!

Harry Potter fan? Yes or no?

14 May

The baby shower madness is over and I’m back, of course with lots of pictures, too!

The Food

The Games

Guess the Mommy's Tummy! It only took two of us to measure Rochelle's belly:)

Candy Bar Poopy Diaper Game

Boys racing to change "the baby's" diaper with one hand. Notice the baby on the right is face down: example of not how to change a baby.

Me and Rochelle made a great team:) We finished much faster than the boys!

The shower was lots of fun and Baby Jackson will have lots of cute clothes and toys when he arrives! I know I am so excited to meet him! I stayed up until 3:30 pretty late last night so I was pretty happy when I was able to relax! After a week full of cake making, crafting, and cooking I’m whipped! But regardless Mom and I met up with a group my friends to see Bridesmaids and it was so funny! I also just watched a cheesy early 90′s movie called Love Potion #9 and I am way over due for bed! I see some shopping in my future tomorrow and I finally have pictures from Mother’s Day to share! I’ll leave you with some more pictures…
